Breakdown of event

Participants will learn about homelessness and poverty and the real-life facts behind individuals and families finding themselves homeless. They will be able to break down common misconceptions surrounding homelessness through team building activities and a Lived Experienced Speaker.

They will find practical solutions to combat social isolation and feel directly connected to a person currently in that position by writing meaningful notes and packing boxes.

How does it work with the items & boxes?

We have found the best way to get your team feeling connected to the process is to supply some items for the boxes yourself. The types of items will depend on the date of your event so it aligns with our fundraising campaign at that time. For example: Winter appeal = jumpers, lip balm, socks etc.

The Good Box will supply the iconic box, blank notes and some other items. If you cannot supply some items, please let us know so we can provide you with other options.

Our space in Templestowe, Melbourne can accommodate 100 and in our space in Hendra, Brisbane we can only host up to 22 people per session in our space, and we would not be able to accommodate multiple sessions to split this up. 

We can facilitate the program for as many people as you like if it’s held in your office (we just need to make sure you have plenty of room + sufficient wifi and tech etc.)

If you are outside these areas, we recommend doing it virtually. You are also welcome to do it virtually if you are in Brisbane or Melbourne to help fit within a certain budget.
